Position Title : Sports Development Coordinator
Location : Panama, Rep. of Panama.

Reports to : Sports Development Senior Manager
Position Summary :
The Sports Development Coordinator will provide direct administrative and management support for the execution of the Sport & Competition activities in line with the Regional strategic plan.
This involves managing and coordinating day-to-day administrative support for the Sports Department, supporting the regional planning and budgeting activities and ensuring effective communication and coordination among the regional sports team and national teams across the region.
Primary Responsibilities :
Assist the sports department staff in day-to-day tasks and management of Sports Division.
Support the alignment and implementation of the Sport strategic plan across departments and region.
Identify and support department programming and planning needs through recognition of connections and dependencies.
Coordinate and maintain ongoing communications support between SOLA internal staff, Nationals offices, and partners regionally through scheduling and organizing Sport specific meetings / events and cross-
functional meetings as necessary.
Support budget process including facilitation of the budget planning process, tracking departmental budget and spending while ensuring that financial requirements are met and completed in a timely manner.
A Maintain system to track reoccurring department deadlines such as annual planning and reporting documents including department goals and targets.
Prepare appropriate reoccurring reports (i.e. monthly calendars, Quarterly scorecards, etc.) to meet deadline and other reports as requested.
Prepare presentation materials, taking brief dictation, notes and minutes of meetings and provide clerical support as needed.
Track and manage correspondence and department updates, including phone calls and web consultations.
Manage Sport Department travel including logistical requirements (flight, hotel, transportation) and provide timely expense reports to accounting for each trip.
Devise and maintain office systems, including data management and filing.
Provide support to special projects including Regional and Global Sports Competitions as needed.
Support management structure for Coaches Education plan, including education, course development, system administration including report generation and content management in conjunction with the system vendor, liaison with National Sport Directors regarding target metrics and content requirements
Support development of detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
Additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Sport or Recreation Management or a related field / experience equivalency
Excellent organization, time management and communication skills are essential
Ability to work in a fast-paced, globally diverse environment with strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Experience in collaborative processes for planning and project implementation
Demonstrated competence in drafting, editing and proof reading documents with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience in event and program management with exposure to budgeting a plus.
Experience working with people with Intellectual Disabilities and / or other disability populations.
Strong communication skills
